One problem we are facing at Arsenal is that we don’t have the luxury to rotate comfortably. This is due to the fact that there’s certain players in the team that are on a very bad run of form. Particularly in the attacking areas.

This creates a problem for Arteta has he is left with limited choices. So far we only have one out-and-out winger who is doing the job and that’s Saka. Aubameyang is not a natural winger even though he play in that position, he doesn’t have the ability to carry the ball and create chances. Martinelli is just coming back from a long term injury and it could take him a while before he’s back at his best. Nelson has potential but similar to Martinelli he need a run of games as well.

We there look at our two senior wingers, Pepe and Willian, because if they get on form they can change our entire attacking dynamic. It’s currently easy to predict our lineup in attack and we are over playing Saka because we don’t have other options. Getting these two back on form will give Arteta selection headache which is good for him tactically. It will also improve the team performance because there will be tight competition between the players as they all want to be part of the first 11.

The manager has faith in the players and has given them minutes but they are not taking the a chances. If this bad run of form continues Arsenal will have to look for other options in the summer so that we can improve those areas. We need to have at least three wingers at the top level if we want to compete with the rest of the top 6 next season.
