At this very moment this is our biggest game of the season. We have to go out there and win this game so that we have something to play for this season. Arteta will be under a lot of pressure if he doesn’t win this game, there will be a very big section of the fan base turning against him on social media if we get knocked out. But I am very confident that he will set us up right and and book us a place in the semi final.

Arteta has to pick the right team and we need a good performance from every player on that pitch tonight. I wont mind us going with the exact same team and system we played against Sheffield United, especially if Aubameyang, Odegaard and Smith Rowe are all not fit to play.

STARTING 11

Goalkeeper:
Leno should continue in goal. He has to be at his best today. No silly passes, no putting other players in difficult situations as well. He has been good but has been switching off a lot lately.

Defence:
Arteta will probably play Chambers at right back but I will prefer to see Cedric. In my opinion he is our best right back he’s not just given enough opportunities. I will go with the center back pairing of Holding and Mari, they have a good partnership and understanding. There’s also a lot of calmness at the back line when Mari is there. At left back I will play Bukayo Saka, simply because its a big game and you want to have that complete balance on both wings. Saka will give us what we miss from Tierney, he will be able to overlap and create chances.

Midfield:
I will move Xhaka back into midfield next to Partey. We have to be thankful to have both of them fit and available. When Xhaka was out we were very horrible in midfield. Emile Smith Rowe is declared fit and available after missing the game against Sheffield United over the weekend. I think he will be ahead of Odegaard who still have to go through procedures. I will play Smith Rowe in the number 10 role for this game over Odegaard. If he make he bench I see Arteta giving him at least 10 or 20 minutes at.

Attack:
With Saka at left back I will put Pepe on the left wing, his speed will be key and having Cedric playing behind him will also help with overlaps. Martinelli had a quite but good game last week, I will continue with him at right wing. His work rate is needed in this game. His link up play with Saka will be key. Up front as the main striker I will go with Lacazette. He is the striker on form, he missed a few chances last time out but his role in the team is also very important. Aubameyang will be assessed ahead of the game, and I’m hoping he’s okay to get on from the bench and make an impact. He was looking lively when he came of the bench last week.
