Hi guys welcome to the Fulham vs Arsenal match preview. In this preview we will predict the Arsenal lineup that could face Fulham in our first Premiere League game of the season. It is a very important game because it is the very first Premiere League game of the 2020/21 season and everybody will be watching, so we need to go for all 3 points. Arsenal player have been back for about 2 weeks now and had a few friendlies on top of the Community Shield to get the players up to speed. Many first team players were away on international duties recently. This gives us a hint that Mikel Arteta will probably line up players that has been in training the past week.

PREDICTION: WIN
Arsenal are looking a different team under Arteta. I don’t see us not matching our recent performances. We are defensively very hard to breakdown and we are playing with a lot of confidence. A win in our first game will boost our confidence and set us up well for the season.

FORMATION: 4-3-3

GK: Martinez is expected to keep his place. He hasn’t put a foot wrong since he came into the team. He is one of the players that were not involved in international games. It was a surprise to see him start the Community Shield game ahead of Leno who played in the pre-season friendly against MK Dons. This shows that Mikel see Martinez as an important player and Leno need to fight for his place.

DF: If Bellerin rumours to PSG are true I don’t see us risking his move so this means Cedric Soares will start the game in right back ahead of Maitland-Niles who is just returning from international duty. New signing Gabriel is expected to make his debut after passing his 14 day quarantine period. Even though fans want to see Saliba, David Luiz is expected to partner Gabriel. Tierney is our first choice left back and Kolasianac looks on his way out.

MF: Xhaka and Ceballos formed a great partnership last year I expect Mikel to continue that. In front of them Mesut Ozil should get the nod. He’s quality and he’s important, we want to see Mikel reintegrating him back into the squad. Other midfield options will be Willock, Smith-Rowe and Elneny.

FW: The front 3 that finished the season strong should start this game. It’s going to be interesting how Mikel choose his from 3 this season because we have exciting options in Saka, Nelson and Willian. But for this game we predict Mikel keeps the front 3 of Pepe, Lacazette and captain fantastic.
