There’s a lot of talk about Arsenal needing to add another wide player or, as most say, a backup for Saka. In my opinion, that’s not necessary, considering the number of players we already have in the attacking positions. Plus, Bukayo Saka has an excellent injury record and is always available. Over the past two seasons, he appeared in all 38 Premier League fixtures, starting 36 in the 2021/22 season and 37 in the 2022/23 season.

Just keep Balogun—there’s no need to sign another wide attacker. While Saka’s availability might be a concern for some, we have Jesus, Vieira, and Havertz, who are all capable of covering the right wing, not to mention Trossard and Nelson. This also opens up a pathway for Cozier-Duberry to break into the team.

Some argue that signing another attacking player makes sense because Arsenal will be competing in the Champions League next season, a competition that demands a deep squad. However, I believe Arsenal already has enough players to cover the squad’s needs, and one of them is Folarin Balogun, who had a very successful loan spell at Stade Reims in Ligue 1 last season. Balogun is a versatile attacker who can play as a striker or as a winger. He’s strong, quick, and is a good finisher. He is also a solid dribbler and passer.

Balogun has the potential to be a key player, and he could be a valuable asset to Arsenal’s squad next season. If Arsenal keeps Balogun, there would be no need to sign a wide player.
