It is the final game of the season and a chance for Arsenal to put things right and finish on a high. A home game, playing in a brand new kit and the fact that we lost two crucial games to miss out of Champions League should be enough motivation for the players to give the fans a good performance. There is still a mathematical chance that we can finish in 4th but that will be courtesy of Norwich City beating Spurs. Anything is possible in football so we have to go out there and our part and hope Norwich can go out in a high too.

It was a very long season with lots of ups and downs, lots of positives and negatives as well. Obviously, what we have achieved this season will divide opinions, some might say we made progress and there will be some that will disagree. Not making the UCL will be disappointment because we put ourselves in good position to make it but bottled it in the end.

Potential lineup:

GK:
This usually a straight forward decision. But with the possibility of Bernd Leno leaving this summer he could start in goal as a send off game. The German goalkeeper has been linked away from the club since losing his shirt to Ramsdale. In January the club signed his replacement, Matt Turner, who is joining Arsenal in the summer.

DF:
Tomiyasu came off injured away at Newcastle on Monady night. There’s a chance he will not be involved so this means Cedric starts at right back and Tavares will keep his place at left back. Holding is back after serving a one match ban and he is likely to partner Gabriel at centerback.

MF:
Arteta will probably keep the midfield unchanged meaning Elneny, Xhaka and Odegaard keep their places. Although Thomas Partey is back from injury there’s no guarantee that he will be pass fit to start the game but there’s a possibility to feature from the bench.

FW:
Arteta is likely to make a change in attack by replacing Smith Rowe with the new number 11, Martinelli, at left wing. Bukayo Saka will keep his place at right wing and we expect Eddie Nketiah to lead the line for his 8th conservative start.

Smith, Lacazette, Pepe, Sambi and Partey are all possible options to feature from the bench.
