I think that the three signings Arsenal made so far were brilliant. But Arsenal still have a lot of business to do. The new season is starting soon and transfer deadline day is also fast approaching. There’s a lot of players that need to leave and probably 3 or more signings to come in.
Arteta and Edu have done a good job so far signing Nuno Tavares, Sambi Lokonga and Ben White. Very young players who look very promising. They also secured good loan moves for Guendouzi and Saliba. But the pace at which they are moving is worrying and is frustrating a lot of fans.
Arsenal have 4 players who’s are out of contract next summer; Lacazette, Nketiah, Elneny and Chambers. And unwanted players such as Kolasinac, Willian and Runarsson that need to be sort out in the next 2 weeks. There’s also the situation of Granit Xhaka. What is going to happen with him. If Roma don’t sign him will we wait for someone else or extend his contract?
Questions on what decisions Arsenal will make with youngsters such as Maitland-Niles, Nelson and Willock also comes up because we don’t have European football next season. There wont be enough games for everyone and we won’t need a big squad. We can’t have unregistered players at the club again its not good for team morale. There’s also no clarity on what will happen to Bellerin and Torreira who are both possible exits this summer.
Arsenal still have a lot of business to do. I’m hoping that our transfer window started after the Ben White announcement.
What is next?
Signing an attacking midfielder, a central midfielder and a goalkeeper is high on Arsenal’s list. There’s also the possibility of bringing in a right back and a striker. Arsenal have recently been linked to the following players; Maddison, Bruno Guimaraes, Tammy Abraham, Ramsdale, Odegaard, Koopmeiners, and Lautaro MartÃnez. And they are still keeping eyes on Sergino Dest and Max Aarons as options for the right back position.
Possible incoming:
Guimaraes, Maddison, Odegaard, Koopmeiners, Martinez, Ramsdale
Possible outgoing:
Willian, Bellerin, Nketiah, Runarsson, Kolasinac, Torreira, Xhaka, Maitland-Niles, Nelson, Lacazette
